Prairie Farms has been in Rice, Minnesota since Frank Wojtanowicz and Anna Bujarski settled and started farming in 1906. Since then, four generations have worked the land, and the business has grown with every decade. On 6,600 acres, using a system of seventy irrigators, the family grows potatoes, edible beans, corn, peas, alfalfa, and winter rye.
To better understand the production process––and the legacy––at Prairie Farms, Kirsten Provan spoke to Anna Bregier, Director, and Frank and Anna’s great-granddaughter.
