1) Chandra, let’s begin with an update on seeding progress. I understand the monsoon’s northward progress has stalled. What are the implications of this for the sowing of pulse crops and potentially on production?

5) India recently signed MOUs for pulse imports from Myanmar and Malawi. But I understand there have been some issues, for instance, with container shortages in East Africa. How do you see trade flowing from those origins?

6) Recently, the OECD and FAO released their Agricultural Outlook for 2021 to 2030. The report projects that India’s annual pulse production will increase by 6.6 million MT by the end of the decade, which would push it above 30 million MT. This would slow the growth of the global pulses trade. What are your thoughts about these numbers and their implications?
